Whether your keiki are stepping onto the mat for their very first tournament or they are seasoned competitors, this is a wonderfully supportive and professional environment to challenge themselves in Gi and No-Gi divisions. ### ✨ What’s New for 2026: More Mat Time! We want to make sure everyone gets the most out of their experience, so NAGA is introducing **Double-Elimination brackets!** This guarantees at least two matches per competitor (barring injuries or withdrawals). * **2-Person Divisions:** Best 2-out-of-3 * **3-Person Divisions:** Round Robin * **4+ Person Divisions:** Includes a dedicated 3rd place bracket so athletes who lose a match can compete again at no extra cost. ✈️ *A quick note for our neighbor island ohana: Because of the extra matches, event days will be a bit longer (even with expanding to the gym's maximum of 12 mats!). NAGA also gives a friendly 1-pound allowance so competitors don't have to strip down completely! * **Fair Placement:** Officials take the time to interview competitors, ensuring everyone is placed in a safe, appropriate skill division beyond just their belt rank. * **Rewarding Effort:** NAGA is the only international circuit that awards points for submission attempts, encouraging active and exciting matches. *(Note: Intermediate and Expert No-Gi levels for ages 18+ allow virtually all submissions).* ### 🏆 Belts, Gear & Prizes * **Championship Belts:** NAGA is known for their HUGE championship belts! They are awarded to all Expert Division winners. * **NEW!
