Basketball Hawaii Youth Academy (BHYA) is a volunteer-run organization focused on mentoring West Oahu youth through basketball. Built on the belief that sports should be accessible to everyone, the academy keeps its programs free or highly affordable. Operating out of the AMVETS West Oahu Veterans Center and Geiger Park, BHYA's coaches and parent volunteers look beyond the court to emphasize character building, teamwork, and community service, including local charity drives.
